Insomnia Technologies LLC is a gift card redemption company. This means that we redeem gift cards for individuals and businesses that prefer cash over their gift cards. Unfortunately, in our industry there are a small minority of people that try to take advantage of our services. These individuals who we refer to as "bad actors" can attempt to defraud you in a variety of ways. The 2 most common ways are:

-
They attempt to have you purchase a gift card and send them the gift card information or images. They can do this in a variety of ways including but not limited to: impersonating a loved one, pretending to be a long-distant lover, or even through Facebook Marketplace.
-
Your gift card details were compromised and they attempt to redeem a gift card that is rightfully yours.

In both of these situations, the bad actor may use a service like Insomnia Technologies LLC and attempt to receive cash for YOUR gift card. Our highly skilled members do everything in their power to ensure we do not accept these gift cards, however accidents happen! If this does happen to you, we ask that you reach out to us and give us the opportunity to help!

We do not want to support fraud in any way, shape, or form. If you have been the victim of fraud and you have identified Insomnia Technologies LLC or any of it's DBAs as the final destination for your card, please contact us immediately. In the case that your phone call is not answered, please leave a voicemail containing your name, phone number, date of the transaction, amount of the gift card, and the last 4 digits or letters of your gift card code. You will receive a call back from someone on our team in a timely manner.

The best way to avoid gift card fraud is to be able to spot fraud before it happens. A great rule of thumb is to never send a gift card to a stranger, and never send someone pictures of a gift card unless it is as a GIFT and you expect nothing in return.
